Multi-family yard sale at Widewaters Village in Knightdale behind the Lowes Foods.

This Saturday June 27th, 7am - noon.

PS2 Games, DVDs, Electronics, several great condition strollers, car seat, swing, 2 boppy's w/ covers, booster seats, misc. toys, items for baby ie: diaper bags, cups & more.

A TON of Girls clothing, also a few boys items and some adult clothes.

Fire Safety House

At the last neighborhood watch meeting the Knightdale Fire Department brought the Fire Safety House and taught the children about fire safety.

New Members on The Board of Directors

HOA meetings are held the last Monday of the month at 6:45 at the clubhouse. The first half hour is for the community of Widewaters Village. Everyone iswelcome.

Any changes to the outside of your house or property must be made in writing to Talis who sends it to the Architectural Review Committee for approval. This must be done before the work starts. Failure to do so will result in a fine.

After a long and grueling voting process, we can now welcome new homeowners to the Board of Directors.

Upcoming Social Committee Events

The Social committee met and planned some events for the community. Be sure to mark your calendar for the following events.

The pool will open on May 23rd. The pool committee will be selling hot dogs that Saturday from 12-3pm. Key Entry Only.

You can purchase a hot dog plate for only $2 and pick up a soda for only 50 cents.

Do you need a night out? Be sure to join other women in the community June 19th at 7pm pool side. Be sure to bring a snack or dessert to share, as well as something you would like to drink.

We will also be having a pot luck pool party July 4th 11am—1pm.

The social committee will be providing paper products and ice (plates, cups, napkins, etc.) All you have to do is bring a covered dish that would be enough to feed your family. Be on the lookout for a reminder flyer in June.

The social committee is also planning a couples night that will be scheduled one Saturday in August. There will be daycare provided down stairs at the clubhouse for those parents that are unable to find childcare for your children.

All you'll need to bring is a snack to share and a beverage of your choice.

Pool Opening

The pool will be opening May 23. Be sure to bring your appetite.

Hot dog plates will be $2.00 and sodas will be 50 cents

We have extended the pool season! It will now be open until the end of September.

From September 8-30, the pool will operate without lifeguards.

Be sure to review the letter from Talis on Rules and Regulations for the pool.

We need volunteers to help regulate people coming into the pool to keep outsiders from abusing our pool when the lifeguards aren’t there. This is due to shorter hours of lifeguards in attempts to keep our dues from increasing.

Community Watch

The neighborhood watch meeting was cancelled due to the voting of HOA.

Next Community Watch Meeting Will resume on Tuesday May 14 at 6:30 pm In the pool parking lot

On the agenda:

• Knightdale Fire Dept. They will be bringing the Fire Safety Smokehouse to teach fire safety and evacuation procedures. Please attend with your children so they will know what to do in case of emergency.
• Regular Meeting will follow the safety class. Please feel free to bring your children to this meeting. There have been issues arising in the townhomes in our community, please come to see how you can help.
• There will also be updates from the Local Police Department on other issues that have occurred in our community.
• We need more involvement from others in our community. We need to keep our neighborhood safe and the only way to do that is have more involvement from more people.

Flyer will be sent out to remind you of the upcoming meeting.

The next Community Watch Meeting will be held July 12 at 7pm

There is a curfew in Knightdale. Children under 18 are not to be more than 3 feet from their house after 9pm. If you see any children disregarding the curfew, please be sure to contact the local police dept.

There have been problems with children riding bikes and cutting through people’s yards. This is unacceptable. Bring your ideas to the meeting to see if we can prevent this from happening.

Please keep your dogs on a leash, it’s the law!

Mountain Dew Apple Dumplings

Ingredients:

• 2(8)crescent rolls
• 3-4 tart apples
• 1 1/2sugar
• 1/2butter
• 1cinnamon
• 1(12)Mountain Dew soda
• Directions
• Spray a 13x9 baking dish or pan.
• Peel and slice apples into 16 pieces.
• Roll each apple slice in 1 section of crescent roll.
• Place rolled slices in pan in two rows, put extras along side.
• Melt butter, add sugar and cinnamon and pour over apples.
• Pour can of Mountain Dew over all.
• Bake at 350 degrees for 45 minutes.

Serve warm with vanilla ice cream.

Election: Take 2

Another election was held Tuesday, April 7th @ 7pm due to irregularities in the first election.

Shawn Reese and Brandie Beebe were elected to the Board of Directors. There is still one position on the Board open that needs to be appointed by the Board due to one of the directors resigning.

There are 2 vacancies on our Widewater Village Community Homeowners Association. These vacancies are 2 year terms and both positions are for Representative on the Board of Directors. The two elected representatives will be representing you and our community during monthly Board meetings and creating budgeting guidelines.

ALERT: Widewaters Village Community Watch

This is a notice to inform you that there was a robbery Tuesday, January 6th at 617 Jumping Frog.  The suspects were caught on tape - which has been turned over to the police for review/investigation.
This robbery took place around 1:00 PM.  Three youths were seen exiting the ransacked residence with bags and leaving in a light gray car.
